I was a bit skeptical at first, luckily, common sense led the way in making a great decision!
Today was the first true day I was able to experience the effects of having TCM Space Quilt installed in my attic and two German made fans to keep my home cool. My home is 1600sf and it was 95F outside and only 74F inside with only one ceiling fan on. Nice and comfortable while my friends and neighbors are all starting up their air conditioners. At night, I keep the doors and windows open letting nature cool my home. Then I lock up the house at 9am and seal in the cool air for the day. My windows are single pane crank windows installed in 1957 when the home was built. The TCM Space Quilt creates a Thermos bottle effect and maintains the temperature inside the home.
This past winter, I found my heat would come on for 5 minutes and it would remain comfortable for hours! My heat is gas and my highest Bill was $55 last winter! Right now, my electric is right at $60. We will see what happens this summer.
