Despite these obvious benefits, most Phoenix homes we have audited are severely under vented. Although the plans drawn for the home specify perimeter and soffet vents which are usually installed, an inspection of the attic reveals that the insulation company covered all the soffet vents with insulation thereby creating an oven six inches above your ceiling. Solution: Contact us to perform an energy audit to evaluate the condition of your venting while your home is still under warranty.
Powered attic ventilator installed: $180 installed. This power vent will exhaust enough air for a 2250 sq foot attic. If you have more than 2250sq feet, you will need a second fan.
Open plugged perimeter venting: $200 single story home, $300 two story homes
Dormer vents (3.79 sq feet) $75 installed each see photo below
