How to make your block home more efficient

ener

This is how the house looked before we started.
Dated by the slump block and 70's trim ths home was inefficient and uncomfortable.

Wood firring strips to create an airspace.  Typically, the radiant barrier is applied first then the firring strips.

Then we applied Thermal Control Membrane   over the firring strips.

Stucco foam is then applied

Over the stucco foam we applied a skip coat of stucco.  The stucco is allowed to cure for several days and then is ready for the final coat.

Here is the finished product. Efficient, updated and very comfortable. The complete job was under $6,000.  The final stucco coat is colored stucco so there is no need to paint the exterior.

If you want to do it yourself we can supply you with the products and step by step instructions.

Outsulation is a very good way to keep heat from entering your walls.  This application is much easier on commercial buildings since there are less things to deal with like outdoor faucets, arched windows, door bells, light sockets and so on.
