Demand Controller for Commercial and SRP and APS Residential Applications

Horizon Energy Systems has been installing and servicing Pensar demand controllers
since 1981 and can install yours professionally.  Trust us with your energy conservation
needs for your residence or business.

After several years of design and testing the new Pensar System 3000 is now available!
This innovative new product seamlessly integrates with both residential and commercial
applications.

How it works:
Large electric loads (a/c units, heat pumps, water heaters, clothes dryers) are connected
to relays which are controlled by the unit.  Through a programmed set of control strategies
the Pensar System 3000 keeps the demand portion of an energy bill (residential or
commercial) at a user chosen level.  Demand reduction is achieved by limiting how many
loads are allowed to run at the same time.  By offsetting the load run time, even if only for
a few minutes, significant reductions in demand levels can be reached.  This is especially
true in commercial applications where there are multiple rooftop a/c units running whenever
the thermostat calls for cooling.
In addition to demand control, the System 3000 has several internal timers where loads can
be forced off or on depending on time of day or day of week.  In a commercial application
this allows for time of use savings, keeping the a/c units off or turned lower over weekends
but can also be overridden remotely by accessing the cloud.
Initial installations have already proven the benefit of "seeing" what each unit is doing on
a graph by showing one of several units had a longer run cycle than other identical units
on the same building.  An HVAC service person was called which found the unit was low
on Freon.  This illustrates how accurate the display software is to be able to display this
type of beneficial information.

This is the newest energy management system now available by Electrosem.
Perfect for commercial, residential and SRP customers considering PV solar.

This system has split core current transformers to simplify installations.  These current transformers
send valuable data back to the processor and can monitor each load as well as accurately collecting
data on how much renewable energy has been collected from wind, solar, etc and record and graph
it over time.
The data can be displayed on any PC compatible tablet or laptop which allows for a streamlined and
custom strategy for load control, time of use rates and setting up the hierarchy of load priority.

Rather than installing the cost of a permanent display this system can be connected to
any PC tablet and have the data available from anywhere from a cloud server for 24/7
access.
